World History

This course will cover World History from the 1300 A.D. to the current day; touching on major events, cause and effect, and cultural trends. Our journey through history will also become a vehicle for which we will explore historical theory i.e.: how historians interpret facts, as well as and most importantly developing our reading and writing skills. As your teacher, I am confident that this course will give you a new found appreciation for the past, and it is my hope that the experience will be enjoyable for all students.

This course will cover United States History from the Civil War to current day; while touching on major events, cause and effect, and cultural trends. Functional Academic Life Skills 
 
This course will cover a variety of topics that will aide in building functional and independent living skills. You will be able to use what you already know to improve your communication, social and interpersonal skills. In addition, this course will also assist you in building knowledge towards an independent and successful life. Once you absorb and learn the material presented in class you will be able to apply that knowledge towards successfully managing a variety of avenues such as a job, a career, school or a relationship.
